Weird bugs in my garden

I don't tend to kill much in the garden, apart from occasionally forgetting to water some of the planters.  I also don't use pesticides or other pest control unless absolutely necessary.  As a consequence, many odd things appear, most recently a beetle with an orange rectangle on its back, an orange Ladybird and an inverted Ladybird (yes, I know Ladybirds are beetles - so should have entitled this blog entry as Beetles rocking in my garden...)

Larvae

Alright - both William Tasso and Dick Moore have both correctly identified the first pics as Ladybird Larvae - so I have learned something new today!
