Hillsborough 20 years on

In many ways it seems a lifetime ago that I was sat in the garden of a friend 5 minutes away from the stadium, drinking cold beer and chatting about how fast the 486 processor was going to be - when the disaster at Hillsborough unfolded.

We spent the rest of the afternoon making cups of tea for the walking wounded, distressed and severely traumatized supporters, and had a long but orderly queue to use the telephone - mobile telephones didn't really exist back then.

It seems odd, incredible in fact, that it's taken 20 years for South Yorkshire Police to eventually say sorry.
